e-NABLE!
e-NABLE is an online community having something to do with 3D printing. I think it's very cool, and you should check out their website!
Our Intro to e-NABLE community.
e-NABLE is pretty cool. It is an online community that helps people with disabilities like missing arms or hands. The word enable comes to mind when I see the name of this community, and it should come to your mind too. The little 'e' makes me think of internet, so it's like [internet] enabled these people, you know? I don't know, but, you should really check out their website which is North of these pictures. Just click on the button and be amazed! Be sure to check out what my team is doing, the 'Cyborg Beast' hand. Arrivederci!

Dear e-NABLE community…
We are the CW 6th grade STEM group. We decided to help out the e-NABLE community after one of our 8th grade classmates brought in an article about a boy who was born without fingers on his left hand and through e-NABLE, received a 3D printed hand. We all found it very interesting and so our teacher decided to ask for a 3D printer. A short while after, we got our 3D printer donated to us by a local sand company. Our goal throughout this process is to remember that it’s more important to help others rather than ourselves. We hope that we can make a difference in somebody’s life. We take for granted being able to hold a cup or a pencil, while some people can’t even do that, and we hope to give others that opportunity. Thank you. CW STEM crew, over and out. |
